Santo Antonio Golf and Spa Resort is an exclusive resort set among mature trees in the hills and valleys of the Western Algarve. It comprises approximately 300 privately-owned residences split between town houses centred around the spa, and detached villas set in their own grounds. The local airport is Faro and it is only 1 hour 15 minutes drive to the resort; mainly on the A22 motorway.
The Resort Reception is at the main entrance. On arrival at Santo Antonio call in to reception to collect your keys and directions to E34. The reception is open until 18.00 hours. For later arrivals they can offer a security box provided theyare informed beforehand. The staff are local and very knowledgeable and can arrange any extras if you have not already pre-booked them. They can arrange taxi services (payable locally) to collect you direct from your accommodation to take you for a night out if you don’t want to drive. There is also an Italian restaurant open in the peak season alongside reception. You can eat in or order a takeaway.
The nearest Supermarket is two minutes by car from the resort entrance is a large well stocked store offering high quality fresh local produce along with all the other favourite fresh and frozen food. It stocks a comprehensive range of wines and beers. It also has a petrol filling station. There is an excellent hypermarket and shopping mall in Lagos. Typically a 30 minute drive or so.

The house is an end town house with three double bedrooms on two floors all roughly the same size with total accommodation for up to six people.
Two of the bedrooms are upstairs sharing a bathroom, one of which has its own sun balcony facing southeast. There is a bedroom on the ground floor which is ensuite with a shower.
From the front entrance, the stairs are to your right and the dining room and combined lounge leading out to the ground floor balcony are to the left. The kitchen area extends off the dining room area to the left at the front of the house.
The house is a four minute walk to the pool, gym, fitness and spa complex. A little further along is sizeable children’s pool en route to Spike’s Bar and Restaurant.
The house has FTTC (fibre to the cabinet) WiFi with Wifi extenders in the upstairs bedrooms. There is a mini LED 43" television and Blu-Ray player along with a mid-range television package with local provider MEO. It includes English speaking channels and other languages. There is a portable printer with bluetooth and USB cable available (but not AirPrint).
The house has heating and air conditioning as well as an induction hob, oven, microwave dishwasher and washing machine. There is also a 7 in 1 Instapot(r) and basic coffee maker.

A challenging course but so, so picturesque, a buggy is heavily recommended.
Sundays and Wednesdays are competition days, which you’d probably be able to enter, even at the eleventh hour.

The full range of treatments*, including several alternative ones too. It’s based right alongside the pool, so if you’re in a group you can chill both pre and post treatment. There’s also an indoor chill out area including pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi.
*personal treatments, fitness classes and the personal trainer may only be available during high season and checking dates is advisable.

Jogging, X-training or cycling - all looking out over the pool area and seeing the sea in the distance.
